Dr Keister is a native of Amarillo and a graduate of Amarillo High School. After graduating from Baylor University summa cum laude with a BA in Biology, he attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, graduating in 1996 as a member of the AOA Honor Society. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and was later Chief Resident at St. Thomas Hospital.
Dr Keister has has additionally served as an editor of Panhandle Health magazine, and as a member of the Medical Policy Committee and Diabetic Management Team at Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at Texas Tech Medical School in Amarillo.
Dr. Keister provides primary care to adults, as well as consultations on a large number of medical problems. His office is located in Suite 301, with Dr. Nam Do and Dr Steven Norris.
