NEWS:
Almost all commercial insurances cover telehealth in Texas, including most Blue Cross.
Traditional Medicare now covers televisits at home so that older adults can reduce their risk of exposure.
The only known exception are Blue Cross of Texas plans that do NOT have the suitcase TDI logo on the front of the Blue Cross plan. Call our office for information.
HOW IT WORKS:
Using our HEALOW system, you can use your iPhone, and most Android phones for a televisit. IF YOU HAVE A MICROPHONE AND CAMERA, you can use your desktop computer or laptop.
To use your laptop or desktop, you will be emailed a link to your televisit appointment. Click on that to start your visit.
For iPad, iPhone, or Android, you need to know the Healow user name and password for our office. Please call our office if you can't reset your password or don't know your user name.
HOW TO GET STARTED:
We have TWO methods for televisits. We prefer to use the eClinicalWorks HEALOW app on your phone, tablet, laptop or desktop. If you have this installed and can log in to HEALOW this is your best method.
For those that can't use HEALOW , we also offer a secure ZOOM televisit.

Call the office to schedule the Televisit. They are available throughout the day. (MOST of our offices currently offer Televisit. Some are in process of setting this up. The office can tell you when it will be set up.)
Note for patients calling about Coronavirus concerns:
a) Please count your pulse and respiratory rate before your visit if possible.
b) Take your temperature
c) If you have a BP cuff, check that as well.
d) When you log in for your Televisit, it will ask for your vital signs, so enter these measurements there so the doctor can see them.
FAQ
Q) How do I let you know about my blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight ?
A) As you log in to the eCW Healow televisit, it asks for height, weight, blood pressure, respirations, and temperature. If you have that available, we appreciate it if you enter it ! If using Zoom, simply mention these results and the provider will enter them manually.
Q) I need lab work to manage my condition, how does that happen on a televisit?
A) We have our "Healthy Lab" set up that minimizes any exposure to other people. It's not quite drive-thru, but as close as you can get. For more information click on our link. If you are out of town we may direct you to a local lab.
Q) Can I set up a NEW patient appointment by televisit?
A) Possibly. We are capable of that, and many conditions are able to be diagnosed and treated online. However your particular condition may need a complete physical exam which can't be done online. Call our office and explain your situation to our office and we will try to help.
Q) I don't own any computers, and I use a flip phone. How do I use televisit ?
A) Almost everyone has a friend, neighbor, or relative with a smart phone. Right now, if we can safely treat you with a televisit, we would prefer to do that. Ask a friend or relative to come over to help with your televisit.
Q) I am on an insulin pump and a continuous glucose monitor. How can I submit those results ?
A) For Dexcom, we can link your CGM to our database. Contact our office for that. For Tandem, Medtronic, or Omnipod pumps, please upload your pump to your manufacturer (or Glooko for the Omnipod). Call our office if you need help. It helps your doctor immensely to be able to see these results.
Q) I need a refill of my pain medicine, or controlled substance, can I do that by televisit ?
A) Yes, if you are an established patient and we are the provider who has previously prescribed it to you. If another provider wrote your previous prescriptions, you should contact that provider.
Q) I am in Oklahoma, can you do televisits here?
A) We now have 3 providers licensed in Oklahoma. We appreciate the prompt assistance of the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure in getting us critical need licenses so quickly. We hope to add more states and doctors soon. Please call the office to see if we can set up your televisit.
Q) I am due for my annual Medicare Wellness Visit. How does that work ?
A) Annual wellness visits can easily be done by televisit. They identify any health maintainance needs, help screen for various illnesses, and discuss issues such as Advance Care Planning. We can catch up with your immunizations and scheduling screening tests such as mammograms after the COVID crisis is over. Labs such as PSA can be done at the Healthy Lab.
